Embouchure
On the oboe, embouchure in conjunction with air support is the recipe for success.
Things to remember:
- avoid a "smile" embouchure, this will hurt you more than help you
- don't bite your reed, cushion it with your lips
- the corners of your mouth should be taught but not pinched so the reed can vibrate properly
