The goal of this website is to synthesize my research of many different methods that promote accessibility in the music classroom, specifically instrumental music classrooms, whether that be a general music format or large ensemble space. It is designed to aid fellow music educators and parents in seeing what options are out there to support their students, as well as provide resources for education, practical opportunities, and more. 

I have compiled a collection of articles and other readings that have to do with social justice education in the music classroom both generally and in more specific areas like programming. This collection is by no means comprehensive, so please feel free to make suggestions for additions.

In this folder, you will find PDFs of many different peer teaching lessons I and my classmates completed while taking our inclusive classrooms course at Gustavus. There are also some slideshows created by my professor Lisa Dembouski on various topics related to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. **Note: Unless otherwise labeled, slideshows are not my own.

For my human relations course in undergrad, a group of peers and I researched the importance of culturally responsive programming and devised guiding questions to help aid in choosing repertoire that will support students of all ages and backgrounds. We created a handout to outline those questions and contains a link to more programming resources. See the handout and our presentation below.
